Sculpture bust of Medusa (Plaster of Paris) for wall hanging or as free-standing, with hand-laid Golf lead in part, focusing on the face of the mythological figure. Hand made in plaster of paris in our studio in Dorset, UK.

This piece is a limited edition, signed and numbered artwork, all handmade, and each piece is unique. White pure plaster version also available.

Medusa is a figure of paradox - both monster and victim - etched into myth as a living curse. Her gaze turns flesh to stone, a power so absolute that even heroes fear to meet her eyes. Serpents coil where hair should be, alive with restless motion, hissing like whispered warnings. Once, she was mortal and beautiful, but divine cruelty reshaped her into something feared and hunted. Her face carries that history: not only rage, but grief, betrayal, and a terrible solitude.

In art and legend, Medusa stands as more than a creature to be slain. She embodies the danger of beauty that cannot be possessed, the cost of injustice imposed by the powerful, and the thin line between monstrosity and humanity.
